We’re back with another installment in our STAFF PICKS series, with neighborhood tips from Hyatt in External Affairs.

Essex Street Market is my go-to for groceries, specialties, or snacks! Sample local cheeses at Saxelby Cheesemongers and check out the daily menu at Ni Japanese Delicacies.

You haven’t experienced New York until you’ve had dim sum, and Nom Wah Tea Parlour is my favorite. If you want a massage after your lunch, stop by Foot Heaven for some reflexology, just down the street at 16 Pell Street.

Dimes is a healthy, delicious, and affordable restaurant—I recommend the daily juice and any of the egg dishes.

Take a stroll through Seward Park or relax on a bench. If you’re visiting during April–October, don’t miss the Hester Street Fair in Seward Park, which offers food and shopping from local LES vendors every weekend.

Catch a performance at the Abrons Art Center, affiliated with the historic Henry Street Settlement.

I recommend ending your day with a cucumber margarita at the cozy and laidback bar, Forgetmenot.
